Awesome news that my 2011 335is is potentially covered! I don't wanna deal with dealer bs and someone else working on my car so I'll just order them online and submit the invoice. Rock auto doesn't seem to be in stock so I'll go through someone else, ecs maybe. Will update...

Well that was quick. Sent scanned copies of my RockAuto invoice, my CC statement, and a couple pics of the old and new injectors.
Got my check for $660 from BMW in less than a week!

I'm waiting for mine; I sent mine in earlier this week. It was done at a dealership (For under $300 since I just bought mine out of warranty), provided the receipt and CC statement along with it. I wonder how long it is going to take mine. Still will be a nice $300 bonus that I can use for another mod..

This may be a dumb question but I haven't seen it asked in this thread yet.

Does the car have to be under warranty?

I don't believe you have to be under warranty. Along as your production date falls in between the dates given and before the 10 years/120,000 miles rule.

Wooo! I was too impatient to wait for RockAuto to restock them, so I bought 6 injectors from Tischer (~$1500, came with decoupling elements). All I submitted to BMW was the HTML page showing my order. Didn't tell them why I bought them, what symptoms I had, nothing. Figured they would contact me wanting more information, but I received a check for the full amount in the mail today, only a week later!

Will BMW reimburse for a HPFP, like they do for the Injectors?

Please let us know how this goes. If we Canadians are reimbursed then I am going to get 6 index 12 injectors for sure.
Just sent a message to Maranello BMW parts on maXbimmer as well. Hopefully they have a clue.

EDIT:

"E90 (335i Sedan and 335i xDrive Sedan)
Model Year 2010 produced from 4/23/2009 to 2/25/2010"

LOL that's exactly my car's build date!

- Is there a max amount for the injectors they will cover up to?

- What if they fail again? Is this a one time thing?

-What is the avg price for 6 injectors?

-What is the latest injector part number?
13 53 8 616 079 ?

Warranties usually imply the whole period stated in the OP, not just one time thing

They will cover any amount that can be traced to an injector purchase from an authorized seller. Most people buy them from RockAuto (~$700 for 6 injectors) and they have gotten BMW to cover those. I bought mine from Tischer (~$1500 for 6 injectors, RockAuto was out of stock) and they covered mine as well. Average price is around $1000. I'm guessing if you set up a fake website and sell them to yourself for $100k they will assume something is up and not cover that.

The latest injector index is 12, usually don't go by part number but someone should correct me if I'm wrong. Ask the seller if they are index 12 before buying and you'll be fine. To check the index, just look at the number after the dash on the injector itself, i.e. XXXXXXXXXX-12.

I would wait until someone in Canada actually gets reimbursed before saying this is confirmed. After calling the number on the BMW-RP.com website I was told that my car was covered. When I took my car to the dealer to get my injectors replaced I got the runaround; they had no knowledge of the warranty extension and when I called back (twice) they said they didn't know what the first person I spoke to was talking about, they said all they could see was that my car was Canadian, not any programs that would apply to it.

I just bought 6 new injectors, but I don't know how to get reimbursed because when I go to the BMW-RP website and enter my VIN I get a message saying that no programs apply to my car, so I can't print out whatever form needs to be sent in for reimbursement.

I have a 2009 E90 with June 2009 build date so the car falls within the warranty period. If anyone who has submitted for reimbursement has any ideas how I might be able to get reimbursed (is there a blank form I could fill out?) I would really appreciate it.

Injector replacement Questions ????

Hi all,

If I bring my 2010 N54 535 to a BMW service center, would they charge me for a diagnostic fee?

In addition if i describe to them that I'm having cold start misfires in the morning only and Engine Light comes on throwing up misfire codes for Cylinder 1, 2, 3 and 5( sparks plugs and coils just replaced car has 99k miles).

I'm suspecting the injectors are causing the misfire. Last question would be do I have to pay out of pocket first to get the service done and then file for reimbursement through www.bmw-rp.com or would the service center do the service free of charge including the diagnostic fee ??

Please if somebody would be kind enough and help me get rid of my worries on this Friday.. Thank You in Advance

Usually they will charge you a diagnostic fee if it turns out to be something not covered by warranty (your case if its not the injectors they will charge you), and usually if you get the work done there, they will wave it

I just confirmed with BMW NA that my 2011 335is qualifies for the injector extended warranty. I've been running MHD St1 91. If I flash back to the stock map, will the dealership see my flash history and give me any grief? Could they see something they don't like and void the extended warranty I purchased?

I know that with Cobb, when you flash back to your stock map, they cannot detect it by any normal means employed by a dealer. If BMW suspects something, I would guess that they could really dig in and see it.

If you know that you qualify, you can do them yourself, or have your indy replace them, and apply for reimbursement.
