Sounds like Indy/apply for reimbursement is the safest bet. I wonder if my Indy could apply for the reimbursement himself so I don't have to worry about it.

The way the system is currently configured, it is set-up for you to apply, not the shop. You insert the car's VIN and it will tell you if you qualify.
Once you replace the injectors, you upload a copy of the invoice and upload proof of payment. They review what you upload and then you get a check a few weeks later. I called in and was told that I was approved and should receive my check in the next few weeks. |

Just got the CEL back, missfire cyl 2. Going to the dealer this Fri to get it checked out.
If its something else (which I doubt), then ill fix it myself. Ill take a copy of the first post. If they dont do it under warrant, I can still claim reimbursement. |

Your car is a 2010, so I am 99% sure that you are covered, but I would enter your VIN online and confirm that their system has you showing as eligible.

Is this for parts only?
I need to have my injectors replaced but I am wondering if I take the car to the dealer and mention this announcement... will they perform the repair and reimburse for all (labor and injectors) or injector cost only? I would hope they covered the labor as well since it was advised we upgrade to 11 and higher and since dealer needs to code. Any insight? |

Thank you sir.
I am ecstatic if this will be the same for me. My SA just left a message saying that the problem with my car was documented Dec 2015 (when I got it diagnosed for $150 because check engine light came on) and the announcement went out Jan 2016. He told me to give him a call back to schedule service so I'm assuming they will take full responsibility (labor and parts). I will post after confirmation. |

I purchased new injectors straight from the bmw dealership for almost 2k, spent a couple hundred for an indy shop to install them. I got a check from bmw for the full amount a couple of weeks later.
Very fast and easy to work with if your VIN qualifies |

this sucks , I see that last service order was if your car was produced 04/02/2007 through 10/31/2008 and now it is 8/13/2009 to 2/26/2010 for the E82 and I just bought mine for $1300 at the dealer.... My 135i was made 2/27/2009

Just wanted to my contribute my experience. Have a 2010 535i that falls into this program.
Currently have index 11 injectors(which will be for sale soon) that were installed from the previous injector recall. Purchased index 12 injectors from Tischer BMW on 8/14. Submitted my claim via BMW-RP website on 8/15 and just provided a screenshot of my order from getbwparts.com. Received my check yesterday, 8/23. Check is dated 8/17 which means they issued the check two days after submitting my claim. So anyone else that falls under this program, don't hesitate ! Submit now ! |

My car is a 335xdrive and an 01/09 build, I do not fall in under recall window. But about 3 years ago I had to purchase 2 new injectors which were 09s at the time. (05s are currently on my car)
Since bmw is just going by vin, what happens if I purchased injectors that are technically recalled injectors. Are 09 version injectors part of the recall? When I call and tell them that even though my vin doesn't fall under the recall, the 09 injectors that I bought are considered recalled injectors and they refuse to understand this... |

I know but that makes no sense. Those vins were chosen due to the index injectors in their car. If I purchased one of those defective injectors because that was most current from bmw why am I not covered even if my vin isnt?
