Seems might have a leaking injector as well. Number 2 that also missfires. Put new coils and nothing changed. on map 1 no problems but on map 2 this happens

Hey guys, I just had my first "new" injector fail (will check what index) after about 30k miles or so. Does anyone know if new injectors have any type of warranty at all?

-misfire
-A/F askew, particularly on deceleration
-trims jacked up
-rough starts/idle
-IRS audits
-Divorce
-Tuberculosis

Although, I appreciate the ingenuity that seal is not compressed enough and to me is both, waste of time and electrical tape. I use small OD hose sliced along the length with small clamp. Fast and reusable.

I know everyone will list the bad points and I was aware, money just wasn't available.

Really bad miss firing from start, once warm it was ok though.

I had this issue. All I did was attach a large set of locking pliers to the threads of the old injector. I then rocked the injector back & forth by grabbing the pliers. Bingo they came out.

For me, it was like do I spend $50, 60, 70.00 on a tool I might use twice, when I have other options?

I just clamped down on the threads of the old injector with some heavy duty vice grips that are about 6-8" long. This gave me the extra leverage I needed to pop the injector out. It was literally like 2-4 to Pushes back & forth. I didn't even need to push on it that hard because I had the extra leverage.

I also was able to lift two of the injectors out with a heavy duty pick. This gave me a gauge as to how much force you might need to pop out a "stubborn" injector, that's been there from the factory since day one. 😉

I will let you borrow mine for the low cost of retuning it to me ( I wouldn’t turn down the shipping reimbursement I spend on getting it to you either). It could save you the cost of replacing your n54 head. I have the injector seal replacement dies as well.

This is a great deal for anyone looking to do this job. Personally I bought the tool and didn't need it. So I returned it for the cost of return shipping.

There’s a 2+ page thread on here somewhere from a guy who needed to use crush washers and Teflon tape to seat his injectors after screwing up the holes...
