Gearbox weird noise (manual N54)
Hi All,
I am struggling with a really strange problem and a bit stuck so I need inputs/ suggestions from others. My transmission sounds a high pitch whining noise only at colder mornings. (Below 10Celsius) Problem completely goes after some warmup time. (5-10mins) See the video about it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZZkS54vv3m8 The vid created under engine break, selected between 3rd and 2nd gear. Whining on higher pitch if input shaft spins faster. Stock 6MT oil was changed at 145.000 to Motul Gear 75w90. 1.5Liter (new flywheel and clutch) Motul is a great brand and all together the problem can not be related to oil weight (80 or 90 weight does not matter I think) Stock is MTF LT3 ~80ish weight. Any suggestion what could be wrong in the transmission? Is it possible this is not mechanical but somehow still oil related problem?
