WARNING against Radioman

I just wanted to perform my due diligence and inform the community of my recent experience with Radioman in San Diego. Not having Bluetooth while driving, and long drives in silence was a huge inconvenience, especially for my business.

DO NOT USE THESE GUYS

They quoted me 1 week turn around and a $250 cost to do my repairs. Then after I paid for priority delivery from Canada ($55) I received a call that went like this:

"Hi there, we can't fix your radio"
ME: What, why not??

"Well if we do it's going to cost you a lot more"
ME: your telling me this after I've been cornered, with no radio, and its in your hands?

"Yes"
ME: I was told $250, thats what I intend to pay.

"Well we are sending it back then"
ME:

To top it off they sent it the SLOWEST route, and i got slapped with an addition $30 charge to receive it, they could have at least listed it as a gift or something.

When questioned about why this happened, they gave me no explanation, and didn't even care to appease me with an answer. They didn't address any of my concerns, and as a customer, they could care LESS about me or my situation. HORRIBLE

In conclusion, RADIOMAN = THIEVES and TIME WASTERS

total inconvenience = 3 weeks and $80

what kind of review websites? I think it's important to share this experience to protect fellow consumers.

I understand how important word of mouth is. in my business, i rely on it.

I don't see anything wrong with this. It's going to cost more to fix than they thought and you won't pay for it - so they're sending it back. You're going to say "but they told me they would fix it for $250." Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Being "told" something is going to cost 250 isn't usually considered a "contract." We only have one side of the story here - I dunno, I've just seen much worse from vendors to warrant blacklisting them. Oh, yeah, the vendor in this case should at least refund all of the shipping charges.

In running a business my friend, customer loyalty and service, along side a commitment to your work, are just a couple of the traits necessary in building relationships with long time customers.

The only point you have about the topic of having an opinion, is that the customers opinion is paramount. Anyone running a successful business understands that this is a foundational building block, if not the oxygen of a well run establishment.

Go out and start a company, give no regard to how your customers feel about your service or product, be successful at it, then give me a call and tell me the magic trick you performed to accomplish that.

ladies and gents, a magician in the making!

I'm not here to flame anyone for the sake of it. If there was another side, I would spell it out for you. As someone who relies on good contacts to keep my business running well, I understand the value in what I bring to the table. When I see someone making such a pitiful effort to not bring that to their own business, i think its a good position to warn other consumers.

You should consider it lucky that we have this opportunity to support one another instead of blasting out these blanket statements about my intention to post.

Use Radioman, go ahead.
