Fire HD Tablet and MHD

Anyone know with certainty if the Fire HD tablet can be used to flash MHD if the Google Play Store is enabled? I did a search and could not find a definitive answer. Thanks.

Yes it works. I have a friend that uses it on his N54 135i.

Which cable are you using to hook up to OBD? I bought the BimmerGeeks OBDII K+DCAN cable and included the OTG adapter; however, not the right connection. I believe the Fire HD8 is micro-USB? Correct me if I am wrong. Also, where did you receive your cable from as I know some cheap ones don't work well with the flashing/monitoring data use.

Thank you.

If you're just looking for something functional and not looking to have it mounted, the $30 Fire 7 is perfect. Does all the tasks of flashing, monitoring, and coding.

You just need to google a tutorial on how to install the Google Play store which can be done after installing around 4 files iirc.

BimmerGeeks PRO cable with a micro USB OTG cable from Amazon made by UGREEN. Never had any issues with any of their cables.

You want something that's always gonna work and be fast and powerful. God forbid your tablet freezes during a flash. Not saving the amazon tablet isn't good but for cheaper the nexus 7 is better IMO

I specifically went off this thread because i read that the amazon fire hd 8 would work with MHD- the amazon does NOT work- it will not install.

Ok, so first off, do you have the android boot loader installed and the play store along with it?

If its still using amazon interface, of course it wont work.

I use a amazon HD7 with no issues. Its clunky and slow, but expected for $35 brand new.

You're right...all these people on this thread are complete morons! It was a ploy to get you to spend your hard earned cash buying a tablet from an evil mega corporation!

*Maniacal Laughing*

Based on this post you might not have the patience to own this car...you'd be better off selling it now...
