E92 328xi tire sidewall flex (fixed)

Hello. So I purchased a used set of style 342s which I'll post later.

Decided to put some cheap ish tires to go about in the meantime. In the front they didnt have 235/35/18 so I went for what they had which was 235/45r18 Bridgestone turanzas. Idk what the hell if it's the tire or what but when cornering hard the car feels like its diving into the side turning the opposite way and the rear opposite side lifts up. Never happened before with continentals. Only thing I could think it is is tire sidewall flexing. Can I fit a 245/35 in the front of an Xi? Or should I go for 225/35. The car has 255 in the rear so I want to undermine understeer. My car is also lowered on KW Coilovers. Recommendation on cheap sporty tires? Soon I'll get PS4S

Also my DSC threw a fault so idk if that's what could be causing this lousy lousy handling

My car is rwd as it's got no front driveshaft PS

Get the proper tire size on there ASAP before you destroy your transfer case.

Forgot to bring up that my car is RWD and not going to be xdrive again anytime soon as it drives much better with only the rear turning.

235/45/18 is not an acceptable substitution, get some proper sized tires on those wheels.

The issue was the tire sizes were different. Also the tire I had in the front was rated as a very soft tire so thats gone. Body roll was caused by worn thrust arm bushings

Car is good now

I mean thrust arm bushing have zero affect on body roll but if it 'fixed' it then good for ya!

Well it certainly did. The bushings were broken off so I supposed on cornering they would move a lot causing the car to sway that way

I rock 235/45/18 all around on my xDrive. They fixed the speedo "correction" and have no rub, with new Bilstein B6/HD, all new hardware. Sagging dampers, worn top hats, bushings may lower the car and not clear at lock

I think you might mean the sway bar bushing or drop link. If your thrust arm bushing was broken off, the car would not be driveable.

Well it was driveable it just drove like absolute garbage. I guess what finished them off was when I swapped to 18 in style 342s. The swerving and tramlining pulling to either side was fixed by a set of Michelin pilot sports

Lesson is to stay away from anything less the great tires
