Thai accident

so my hoo-ore of a fiance spilled some Thai leftovers on the passenger seat on our way home from dinner...

as soon as i got home, the first thing i did was try to soak up the oils from the leather with the first thing i could find, which happened to be some leftover semi-sudsy water from washing her car yesterday (she apparently forgot to dump out the soapy water). i then applied a couple rounds of Meguiar's leather conditioner. however, there is still a slight stank of Thai.

any suggestions on how to best de-funk my leather???

get some white vinegar maybe

get some baking soda and water. make it into a paste and put it on your seat. it will soak up the stink. Also, buy one of those baking soda fridge boxes with the mesh and leave that in your car with the windows up. That will soak up the stink.

The smell is in the leather? You will need to clean that with a dedicated product or find someone with a steamer. I would not put vinegar or any other acid based product on leather personally. Open baking soda box or coffee grounds will absorb smells but if the leather smells it needs deep cleaned.
