I honestly keep my valves shut 75% of the time because I like it nice and quiet as a DD but open them up when I want to romp on it / show off on some other cars who "think" they are loud lol
Do you notice a difference in power open/closed?
I do feel more power when the valves are open. With the valves closed, 100% of the air gets pushed through the muffler and back out via an H pipe. With the valves open, all of the air is sent straight through with sounds bouncing off into the muffler for a more refined sound.

I'm curious to know what the difference is on a dyno, might send them an email to see what they say.

Eager to watch the vid you shared, been at work so haven't had a chance to listen yet.

I would love to dyno it once my car has a healthy hpfp lol...

There is still plenty of power regardless but i love flooring it and having no noise. It's a really weird feeling... hauling ass without all of the noise behind you. It's nice to pull away in traffic without looking like an ass sometimes hehe

Any So Cal 335is DCT owners interested in a Quaife LSD full pumpkin trade for stock pumpkin + cash? With or without M3 diff bushings. PM me or text me 9zero9.7six6.zero78six

The LSD was one of my best mods to the 335is, since it didn't come with one from the factory. Improvements to handling, power delivery and traction are a night and day difference.

So a new Quaife LSD from HPA is $2.8k. I'm looking to get a bit more than half off. So if anyone is interested in saving over $1k on a DCT Quaife LSD full pumpkin, lmk. My LSD has less than 12k miles on it and was built by HPA.

I also have the finned cover, long bolt and spacer that is not installed. As well as the M3 diff bushings and solid aluminum subframe bushings.

I swapped out my stock shifter for the Dinan SSK. Much shorter throws! Highly recommend. The only con is increased noise. I might do some dynamat wrapping around the shifter and shift boot area. I did a DIY if youre interested

Here's a question I've been wondering for a while. My headlight angel eyes, while in daylight mode, have a purplish hue to them. Any other 335i that I see has the ones that have the yellow tint. It's not a ricey color and looks amazing. Is this something that is specific to the "is" models or are my lights modified?

I have never seen a purple hue but mine are bright white. Not yellow or dull at all.

No not stock. I just changed mine because I find stock has to much yellow tint and I hated that. I got cheapo 30$ bulbs with higher light temps and they surprisingly works fine.

What grills do you have installed and how was the fitment. I have some ebay M4 grills and they are pretty sloppy with the fitment so I was considering some carbon fiber grills.

Lol one of mine was dangling a bit and they looked so ugly I cut both of them off.

Any idea what these actually do? I assume aerodynamics for gas mileage?

These are stock grills but just blacked out and wrapped in CF. Fitment is great, it was done by the previous owner I assume as I bought it this way.

They direct air towards the inner part of the wheels. Some aerodynamic magic that BMW engineers figured out. They do have a purpose but not having them isn't going to kill you.

Has anyone done any sound dampening? I have 4 sq ft, not much but was wondering if it could be useful in the wheel wells to reduce road noise.

So what's the consensus on catless DP to avoid the rasp? Resonator in place of secondary cats? Did it make a noticeable difference? I wanna avoid the ricey rasp as much as possible. Also, any NJ guys have issues passing emissions with catless?

I have Catless DP and Vibrant resonator in place of secondary and it sounds fantastic. No rasp and only a tiny drone around 3600 rpm.

I think I have a sound clip post here in the last few pages, if not I will post it.

Just got a 335IS Car is amazing and it is definitely something special. Currently looking to do an ethanol mix and not sure what LPFP to go with.
Also not sure which rims to replace my 313s with.

Im glad to join the E9x and IS team!!! Im coming from the Mustang side. Got a 2018 GT and it was a lemon. So here I am!!! Twin turbos, 400+ HP, and I still use my turn signals!
