Majority of the times, yes.

Curious to know what you have done with your 330d. Care to share?

Engine is bone stock. Only done maintenance like glow plugs & controller, thermostats, de-coke, oil changes...

Suspension is fairly modified though; m3 front arms, XD strut tops, koni special active struts/shocks, m3 steering rack, 335i BMW performance front springs, e93 m3 rear ARB, m3 rear upper arms, ball jointed tension arms, ball jointed toe arms, stock camber arms and bushings, m3 rear subframe bushings, modified top shock mounts, rear springs from an e93 m-sport (IIRC)... Oh, and some self-made camber plates too. I run M-sport geometry all round, except the front camber is about -2.2deg. Ride height is pretty much M-sport. Ride doesn't actually feel much different from stock, but ride frequency is pretty close to 1.5Hz front and rear. Handling is very different from stock!

Just replaced the ABS pump motor brushes today. Need to refit the injectors soon, and I may well have a turbo replacement at some point soon-ish.

Future projects, I don't really have many plans. I'm tinkering with removing the (tired) power steering pump and replacing it with an electric one... Don't ask why, I'm not really sure! Also don't ask where the pump came from...

Can anyone recommend the best oil for my m57 300d please. I mostly use it for town driving and a long run twice a month to keep the DPF happy.

Cheers

Anything 5w30 and LL04 spec. You can also use 0w30, but there's no point in the UK climate. I'm currently using some Fuchs stuff that I pick up for £70/20L.
