I guess i could use this thread to say what i think if makkan's work.

He coded my car tonight for quite a lot of things. See below:

Quote:
1- Power windows should not be interrupted when opening the door.
2- comfort eject of the key.
Rather turning off the engine and then pushing the key in to eject it,
you simply press and hold the start key for 2 seconds, and key eject (but stay in the socket), so no need to push then and just pull.
3- Panic alarm
4- Mirror folding with key
5- Power windows on after turning off
Power windows active 1 minute after turning off the engine.
6- DRLs always on at zero position of headlight switch (i.e do not dim)
7- LCI tail light coding
8- Josh front light coding so no errors (im getting angel eye retrofit next week)
9- Alarm chirp on locking / unlocking
10- Alarm chirp on closing the boot if that is the last one to be closed.
11- Halo rings coming on with the security alarm
12- Central locking button without key
13- Wipers to return to original position after turning off the engine
14- Digital speed display: will be done soon
The above was done remotely. So i was sitting in my car, watching my laptop as he was doing his magic. After seeing how complex it all was there is no way i am going to try coding. He was lightening fast.

Everything works as described perfectly. BMW dealers ought to learn a thing or two off Sam. Thank you!

Sorry for the thread highjack; but I saw no point starting a new thread. I just want to say a MASSIVE thank you to Sam (makkan00) for coding my car today. As many have said, he really knows his stuff and treats your car like his own.

I am now happy to say that I now have 6NR and 6NF (Connected Drive, BMW Apps, Internet and iPod plugin) now functioning in my car which started life as a non-iDrive 2008 320i Msport.

Sam I will be in contact soon with my further requirements which has now grown since seeing your lovely car.

Sounds like Sam's done you proud, I'm looking forward to him upgrading my Business Nav to Pro, and having a few more toys to play with

I've bought the USB/Aux socket (Part 84109237653) for the armrest, and I'm on the lookout for the connecting lead, do you have any idea of the part number of your connecting lead? ... cheers

Had a chance to meet Makkan today. Top bloke. It was very nice to finally meet him and put a face to a name.

Did the following for me:

Dension coding
Dension wiring
Dashcam hardwiring (all hidden)
Digital speed coding
Digital (instant) MPG coding
Alarm chirp uncoding (coded previously by him but not wanted anymore)

The dashcam wiring is all hidden away behind the trim. He added a little box which will basically enable my dashcam to have a parking mode, even though it's not designed for one I'll put some pics up on the dashcam thread soon.

The instant MPG is quite useful to have, and i was shocked at how wrong the MPG needle was (by 10mpg sometimes). Yes, even the digital one isn't going to be perfect but at least it's better.

Unfortunately i didnt get a chance to check out all his retrofits/installs in his car, but i liked his car. Hopefully next time!

The guy is a genius and his work is very impressive. Hard to believe it's just a hobby for him. Did everything in his stride. Thank you Sam!

PLEASE Take pics of the dash cam installation and a little more info on the parking mode would be great... As you and i both know, i could do with one after someone keeps damaging my front end!

Lol. Yes i think it would be great for you to get a cam. Parking mode aside, it would be a god send in any insurance claims. But hopefully we will never need it for that!
