Before

225/40 18 front and 255/35 18 rear.
Literally just installed them so excuse the dirty car, rain won't go away!
I have ~$500 in the wheels and tires total, so I'm extremely happy with how they look!

his original rims were disgusting and the style 219's are obviously nicer, but I agree with you on the contrast bit. it looks a little off but still very nice.

that looks like a lip attached to his factory bumper. looks a little funny from some angles IMO.

Nice, a thread about e90s.

I like them! Always fancied a set myself... Def worth it for $500.

This is because the 219M's are pretty wide, right? I seem to remember running the same width tires on my 162's which are at least an inch narrower in back.

Yeah, they are slightly stretched unfortunately. I was reading online and people ran this size with the same rims to avoid fender rolling or rubbing. I went with nankang tires and guess they are on the narrow side so probably could of gone 265. Maybe next set.

***Don't want to hear your opinions on my tire choice. I did my research and bought what I wanted.

You must be new here..

If you don't want to hear general opinions, you shouldn't be posting in the general forums..

And if you researched yourself and still decided to go with that narrow of a tire on those wheels, I'd suspect whoever gave you the answers to your research lied, or just had no clue what they were talking about..

They're still dope wheels, but no need to be a dick just cuz others think your tire setup looks retarded..

Yes because they are wider, so you'd want a wider tire to match things up better, but the OP is a tire guru and did his research, so what do we know..!?!

Hmm, what gave it away? The tag under my username that says joined March 2017? 😂😂😂😂
I went with 255 because I didn't want to dick with rubbing tires or fender rolling.
I couldn't care less what people think of my setup. Clearly I'm happy with it.
Also, I wasn't being a dick, just don't want to hear about how I should spend more money on tires, nankangs suck, your gonna die with those, etc.

I think you misunderstood what I meant about not wanting to hear opinions on my tires. I know they are on the skinny side and I would do 265s if I did it over. I just don't want to hear tire snobs flamming my choice in tire brand.

I clearly know it says that you just joined, I was obviously being facetious...

And if you're happy that's all that matters, but if others who have tried other setups that worked/looked way better, didn't rub or scrape, and wouldn't have cost you but a few more bucks, you're going to just have to sit back and hear what they say because you posted this in a general forum and that's what happens when you post general shit, and when it looks like someone has no clue what they're doing.. But again, if you're happy, cool..

And nobody even flamed your tire choice, if anything it was the tire size that stood out most..

Agreed, but I'd also like to suggest lowering that car a bit. Not aggressively, about 1.5" all around. Just saying.

Just wanted to show you where I was looking about my tire sizes, now that I'm on a PC.
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=633527
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=733226
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=622717

I even had sources from other forums that I won't link in case it breaks the rules.
It was a gamble but unfortunately the Nangkans are on the slim side of 255. I thought it would of been more of a squared look, but I'm fine with how it looks.

I feel you man, I did browse through those threads and there is tons of mention on fitting 265's and maintaining lower profile ratios, but not much mention on rubbing.. I just made a post last week about fitting 275/30's and not rubbing at all but if you like it that's all that matters.. Just personally I feel 219m's are an aggressive wheel and stretching 255 tires on them takes away from the aggressiveness, that's all I was saying.. And you don't have to get shitty tires either, Continental DW's would look dope on there in 265, and they're actually on sale right now.. But again, your car, your choice..
