Changing Tyres in Melbourne

Hi everyone.

It's been a long time since I posted here, as I am very active on the F30Post site.

Anyway, in preparing to sell my wonderful 325i, I had to buy 2 new tyres for the front wheels. As I had 4 x Pirelli euphori@ tyres, I wanted to stay with them. However, the euphori@ is a superseded model. I chose PZero tyres instead. I have 225 in front and 255 in back.

After a bit of phone shopping and a tyre centre visit, I came across the Mobile Tyre Shop. I spoke with Travis and worked out a very good deal.

They come to you with a large van and all the equipment necessary to change tyres, electronic balancing machine, compressor to pump air in the tyres, special car stands and a computer controlled wheel alignment system.

So the guy, Paul, came to my office and he did an outstanding job, replacing one almost worn tyre and another that had decent tread. The reason one was worn is because it had to be replaced early on when the tyre lost an encounter with a large screw and could not be repaired - RFT. I have to replace like for like for my roadworthy certificate.

So the job took around an hour and best of all, MTS were very competitive on pricing and I wasn't put out having to take my car to the tyre specialist.

I highly recommend them if you or anyone require tyres in Melbourne.

No idea just yet. Still waiting for the F30 to be built, possibly week during 32. Just prepping my 325i for sale.

However, an F30 I test drove for about an hour back in March seemed very nice.
