Portable DVD Players

Can anyone recommend me a good portable DVD player that is lightweight with a good screen quality and has at least a 5hr battery life?

Not to bothered about cost

Thanks

Do they still make them?

I thought the world had moved to things like the iPod and the Archos digital media players these days

Its for our 4yr old boy when we go on holidays etc, our Ipads are too expensive for grubby little fingers!

I bought a Sony a couple of years ago, battery lasts ages and it was cheap enough that if it got dropped it didn't really matter. Great for plane journeys.

iPods yes but there are plenty of other cheap digital video players out there and they will be a lot more robust than a DVD player (plus your DVDs won't get trashed).

The iPad is the best but only at home

Out and about we have a Sony Dvp fx730

After a year it's battered, lost some of its colour, lots of yoghurt finger operation and quite a few drops.

They might not do it now but it was about 130 quid and it does last quite some time so perfect for trips in the car or airplane.

Only other thing I could suggest is a archos 80 tablet. They are very affordable, 8 inch would be cheap enough for kids and you can put an expandable memory card in it plus a 3G dongle so they can watch cbbc on the go.
