With all of the turbo/injector/fuel pump issues why hasn't BMW recalled the turbos?

It just seems odd that they haven't recalled the turbos with the high volume of turbos that need replacing. To keep my turbo actuator arms from sticking on the track, I've been using Anti-seize compound on the arm which seems to work really well. Although, my last time at the track it was 100F and after 17 minutes of driving I did have an underboost code from the actuator arm sticking. Pulled in pit lane, let the car cool down for a couple minutes, went back out and finished my session. In fact that was the only code for the day. The sessions after that I didn't have another code. So all things considered that's pretty good, before the anti-seize compound it was sticking after 2 laps in 70F weather. Interesting note that my oil temps stayed around 240F in 70F weather, and 270F in 100F weather. 30 degree increase in ambient temps = 30 degrees increase in oil temps.

Regardless, it's a bit annoying to have such unreliable turbos. They only have 56k on them, which is a pretty low service life for a turbo. Others are having issues well before this point. I wonder if BMW regrets using these Mitsu turbos.

just chill dude. Stop this recall this recall that bullshit. All it does is bring the value of our cars down. Every out of factory turbo set up will face imminent failure. Go see how audis did the same thing. move on man.

Maybe they should just recall the motor due to possibility of spun bearing with the misfires.

Yeah, I don't have a problem with the turbos so much. My biggest reliable gripe with the car (by far) is the HPFP. Everything else is reasonable IMO.
