Exclamation Got an engine light tonight. What could it have been?

I was on the freeway earlier tonight, and I passed a car going WOT. As soon as I let off the gas, a half-lit** engine light came on, and the car went into limp mode. I exited and found the nearest AutoZone to have it read. As soon as turned off the car and turned it back on, the light was gone and full power was restored. What might have happened? The light came on under WOT, so could it have been my *cringe* ...hpfp? I really hope not. I'm still under warranty, but I'm about to move and such, and a bad fuel pump will really get in the way. If you have any clue as to what may have happened, please chime in. Thank you!

Order a BT off my site and scan the code. You need to know the code number AND the freeze frame data (rpm, ambient conditions, sensor values, etc) to determine what the problem is.

Are you stock?
CELs usually get reset and go away once the car is restarted so I'm sure that you don't have anything to worry about.
I agree with Mike though. A BT cable will help you diagnose the issue.
