Not sure I really dont see the point I never use the high beams. Either way I just want to make sure they stay working a few more days before I hook it up(if I do). The high beams work without the shutter. The plastic insulation would be good but it diddn't fit. That's why I took it off.

WHAAAATTTTTTT how? it must be wiring or the connection into the terminal if it is always on and off like that or the ballast or the bulb recheck those again!!!

I am I have off tomorrow and I am getting up bright and early and everything is coming back off and I'm starting over. I am going to check the connections inside the housing too.

good idea....hmm perhaps you really did jinx them, i really think its the connections or else it wouldnt be on off like that and happen whenever....

I decided to splice 2+4, so far it works. Both lights on for several hours already, service engine light never came back, check low beam on for just about 15 secs.

Really???? I tried that and it didn't work. You have had them on for hours straight?

Yes approx 3 hrs (1hr idle, drove for 1hr, and another 1hr idle), hope this will end.

how did you connect to the plug? just pushed the wire in there?

I'm using similar female connector like what in the link that you posted, so instead to chassis, I cut it short and connect to splice no 4 wire.
