Palmnuts has got me thinking (not the same league) but I'm looking at getting a 630i but hate the wing mirrors. Does anyone know if a E92 or other BMW model apart from the M6 mirrors would replace the elephant ear ones that come standard??

They're not that bad and in proportion to the car. Plus you could lose the puddles lights from the original mirrors if the car has extended lighting.

My mate as the same model and let me drive it, i just thought the wing mirrors didn't suit the car compared to the E92 mirrors

I'm guessing you have a pre LCI e90. The LCI ones had big dumbo mirrors and indeed every car built since 2008 has huge mirrors due to some stupid rule/requirement. I don't think you will find anything that fits that is smaller/a better shape.

Regarding the Z4 coupe. Quite a bit different from the other 2 cars on your list. i had the roadster and thoroughly enjoyed it. I nearly bought a coupe but on test driving i found it hideously stiff. It really did crash and bang about to the point of being extremely tiresome.

I own a pre LCI E92 which has similar wing mirrors to the new M6 (sideway tear drop)

This is my last chance to get a "toy" before I need to buy a family car and have always loved the Z4 coupe. The other 2 are slightly more practical with 4 seats. I would get another E92 M sport (Le Man blue with 19" wheels but OH hates them)

I think the wing mirrors aren't that detracting aesthetically tbh. Just look at the boot! . They aren't big like newer cars either.

my choice would be :-

1, Le Man Blue

2, Imola Red (may be called something else now)

3, Space Grey

She thinks the E92 is too big to drive but would be happy to drive a 630i or Audi A5 : Thats woman for you.........

I didn't notice them until i drove the 6 series. I might be used to the E92 mirrors and thats why i noticed it so much.
