Chicagoland Detail
i've tried searching but only found recommended car wash places.
i'm looking for a full detail after the winter. this would be my first time detailing- do you guys have any places in mind? how much do they usually run for? when are you guys planning on getting yours done? |

I'd specify what area of chicago... dtown, northside/southside, burbs
kinda pointless to recommend a place in Joliet if you live in Gurnee ya know. |

i am down in plainfield i could do your car for you. it'd take about 10-20 hours and pricing would depend on the condition of the paint, how much paint correction would be etc....
since i'm new to the area and not many people know about me etc... i'd be willing to do it at a much decreased rate. (i.e. cost of the paint etc... i wouldn't charge labor which typically runs about 25/30 an hour depending on what is being done)

not bad not sure how well they can do that considering they don't let the sealant cure before they apply the wax. Either way i've had no experience with them but they look good. To get my name out in this area i'm willing to do it half price. I can beat their prices by about half for the first of the year! shoot me a pm. I'm already booked through march though :/

Neb.
Pm me and let me know what your detail all entails (I'm a real "legit" detail virgin so go easy on me... I always do the express details at the car wash for $49.99)... |

Nebster, ever travel down south a little to the STL area? Not sure I want to drive that far north to drive all the way back down to STL and have bugs and other nasties on my car when I got back home.

I posted up a list for the Evanston/Northshore area. Most of the hand wash places do detail work.

I'm a detailer and I'm in the North burbs as well. Buffalo Grove to be exact. Havn't posted my work in a long time, but I've got threads on autopia.org and evolutionm.net.

Looks really nice Nebster.
I need to get my E70 X5 detailed. I have tried Simon's Car Wash and they did a good job. I'm always up for a better deal though. If you still have openings for detailing my X5: I live in Downtown Chicago. So, how does it work? Do I drive the car up to where you live? How long would the detailing take and can I stay there with you during the process? How much would it cost for exterior only / exterior & interior? Thanks, Ucan |
