Warning lights DTC light and a yellow handbrake light

Hello, i am reaching out to the forum to see if someone can spread some light on an issue i have on my 2006 E91 318d.

I have the two amber warning lights displayed on the dash on startup.

DTC light and a yellow handbrake light

I have researched the life of the common problem of reluctor ABS rings swelling up and corroding.

At the weekend i had the car up on ramps and removed the ABS sensors on the rear, looking to clean up the reluctor rings only to find that both sides did not have any reluctor rings on.

Can anyone clarify if my car a E91 318d 3 series touring is supposed to have reluctor rings?

Thanks in advance.

Best if you have DIS or INPA, plug it in and see what's the actual cause of this.

Warning lights

I’m having the same issue myself, a dash full of warning lights for abs, tire pressures, the cruise control is shot to hell, and the traction control kicking in as soon as I start the car rolling. My only solution in the short term has been to turn the DTC completely off so it’s driveable while I get it diagnosed. I’ve heard of the reluctor rings degrading, as well as the steering angle sensor in the driving column being to blame, but I don’t have a clue how to narrow down all the issues!

I have scanned the car and found the following faults.

5E4F DSC continual valve operation

5E3C Rotation rate sensor not plausible

5E38 Wheel Speed Sensor Accident Recognition

Does anyone have any ideas of what this might be and how it could be fixed?

Thank you in advance

What was the true diagnosis and what was done to fix? Some of these happen due to a discharged battery, so it'd be good to know what you did to resolve it.
