DiMisa Exhaust tips

So I recently purchased a friend of mines DiMisa exhaust tips.

They are 4 inch and currently have a straight pipe connecting welded left over from his old 335i setup. I attached a picture, sorry for the poor quality. I just picked them up and got excited. I paid only $50! They are in great shape.

The problem is I don't know if I should keep the straight pipe setup? Or wait and buy mufflers? I have heard some with muffler delete and they are pretty loud. I currently have performance wise JB+ and BMS DCI.

I am not looking to gain any power because I know a muffler delete won't supply that. I am just looking for a little bit more noise when I open it up.

My only concern would be that I have an E93 and I am worried about a drone or annoying noise. Anyone else have this setup? If so please let me know if you like/dislike it overall?

Open to comments or suggestions.

Thanks for viewing.

I have a muffler delete on my e90 335 and its not that loud. At first it was way too loud but with time it got quieter (I guess the car adjusted to it). The drone is not bad at all, bmw's are very sound proof on the inside, I barely hear it on the freeway. From the outside it is pretty loud from what other people tell me.

I dont have an E93 but i do have an e92, Im running JB4 and DCI with a muffler delete.

Personally, i like the sound of the muffle delete and i doubt the 4" tips are going to add THAT much noise and as for drone, local commute there is no drone. When you get on the highway like razzle said the drone is really not that noticeable, windows down or up.

Go straight pipe it should sound pretty nice, and of course post a vid and some pics

I hear the drone is bad as well. However, some people like loud exhausts and don't mind.

It's not super bad. It's not something I'm gonna keep. it's temporary. Wanna shoot a fully modded e92 335i with vb3s? Hahaha

Exhaust on!

Okay so I put the exhaust tips on.

Did a muffler delete, originally the car was extremely loud. Now that it has settled it seems to be much quieter and has far less drone. I have attached pictures but I don't know how to put up the video I made of the exhaust. Is there any way besides youtube or vimeo.

Here are the pictures and a couple of around the car. Let me know what you think. Thanks.

A friend of mine had a 328xi with muffler delete, I met up with him soon after my exahaust was done. My car seems to be a good amount quieter. I believe this could be due to the turbo's, however this is a temporary exhaust set up.

I am going to install some magnaflow mufflers soon which should keep down the drone hopefully.

Here is the video

The revs are only to about 3500 rpm because I didn't want to be obnoxious to others in the lot. It sounds pretty good in my opinion. Atleast for now until i get Magnaflow mufflers.
