Would you prefer specialized local shop or dealer?

I have to change brake fluid and engine oil for my car, 328xi 2009.

The dealer said it will cost 350 including microfilter change(they said I should change the microfilter if I change the brake fluid)

and the local shop(specialized bmw shop) said it would cost 260$ including microfilter change. what would you do?

would it hurt my CPO if I get services from local shop?

Don't delete, this is a good post. Indy all the way. So many dealers suck at servicing their cars. I had a personal experience with a certain dealer, but won't repeat it on here. Anyway an indy repair wont invalidate a cpo or any warranty. Look for an indy in the regional forum on here.

If no codes are being thrown use Chevron Techron fuel injector cleaner (concentrate). It solves rpm fluctuating upon cold start-up. Also, for most BMW problems start off by scanning your car with the Peake Research Tool. It contains the actual BMW codes. If you want to register a newly installed battery for free (just buy a $10 cable) and google/download BMWLogger
