Peake Research Tool

I've read a bunch on the Peake and BT tool but cannot quite find what I need here. I'm trying to decide if the Peake is good enough for me.

With a 2006 325, what table would the Peake use? I'm trying to find all the codes it would read. Would it show the water pump codes like 2E81?

I'll buy the BT tool if I need to but could find other uses for the 150 bucks. Like putting it towards 71,000 mile water pump preemptive change

How about this. Does anyone know what code table a 2006 325 would use? That would tell me what kind of codes it will show and if the tool if for me or I need the BT. Peake CS is useless in this regard.

Download bmw tools, buy a cable and install on a windows computer. It takes more effort but will do much more and is cheaper than BT or Peake.

"Takes more effort" is an understatement. I thought i was pretty computer literate, but got frustrated and sold my cable to someone on this forum. I have peake in my glovebox.

Op, sorry, I forgot which sheet is used for 2006 BMW. You can download the sheet on peake's website.

If no codes are being thrown use Chevron Techron fuel injector cleaner (concentrate). It solves rpm fluctuating upon cold start-up. Also, for most BMW problems start off by scanning your car with the Peake Research Tool. It contains the actual BMW codes. If you want to register a newly installed battery for free (just buy a $10 cable) and google/download BMWLogger

I downloaded the sheet but there are multiple code tables. Some are more extensive than others. Some have the water pump codes some don't. Peake says they cannot tell me what table to use until the unit is plugged in. But, then it's mine, no returns.

I'm confused. Where and what would I download?

Search bmw standard tools torrent in google and you should get some hits. It's also available at bmwcoders.com. Extensive instructions are available on installation. You will also need a cable. If you're interested I will be more specific as I have installed this on multiple versions of windows.
