I've been confused in the past by these scans.

They are just scans, it hasn't been turned back, it's just waiting to be cleared by customs.

You typically get killed by the brokerage fees they charge ! I demand it to be shipped via regular US Postal Service or simply get it delivered to usaddressinc.com

The Fort Erie scan is just advanced clearance scan, it's done to speed up cross border transport before the pkg arrives into Canada. I hope you ordered some lube with it, they Fees are probably going to hurt if it's an expensive item!

+1 on all of that.

UPS is the worst for the fees, then I order from the states, I tell the company to not use UPS and use the USPS or another carrier.

UPS SUCKS!!!

Use your own broker if you have to go through UPS. All you have to do is call ups and say that you have your own broker clearing it.

I used baycitybrokers in Brampton to clear the package. They charged $20 brokerage fee up to a value of $200 and after that it is a different rate (much less than UPS anyways).

Only thing is UPS tries to fu*k this up and still ask for payment, you just need to call em up again and tell them to read teh damn notes on the file from the last call that you are getting another broker to clear the package. I believe effective June 1st, we are now able to bring in $200 worth of goods with no custom charges.

If UPS is doing it, I have some lube I am not using that you can use, that should take the sting out of the fees.
