yeah, but your car will still be flagged with bmw. it goes into the vehicle inquiry report. that might be an weird situation, bmw not covering a repair because of the dinan flag, dinan not covering it because your removed their software.

i believe dinan quotes at the crank numbers, which will be higher than at the wheel numbers that most other tuners quote.

No No your not listening. I can remove the software, run stock, add software and have my "dinan" warranty. I paid the 2K for the flash, regardless if I run "stock" or "flashed" dinan is still their to back up there end, or so they claim. Sure, my car is flagged, but they can't deny service (if anything major was to break) since I paid my part and held my end up.. up to 50K. I'm at 17K and knock on wood, just had bullshit repairs.. that my dealer (non-dinan) hooked up. Tip and receive Know how to play the game.

In addition to posing your questions to DINAN - there are two places in New Jersey that install DINAN products.

Give them a call :

Flemington BMW - Speak to Ryan Gurcio
Motorwerks West - Speak to Dave Bogart

DINAN warranties their product - NOT BMW
I am not a spokesperson for BMW or DINAN -
However- This is what I think may be going on.

BMW now sells tuner parts - IE : Intake - exhaust etc
and possibly software in the near future - if they don't
sell it now

They really don't want competition from DINAN
And they really don't want BMW owners complaining about problems with their cars because of DINAN related products.

That is my opinion - NOT the opinion of DINAN or BMW - They can speak for themselves.

As far as BMW corporate having a " Relationship " with DINAN
They don't

Individual dealerships work with DINAN

whether or not BMW can legally void the factory warranty -
due to DINAN installed products...........

I never heard of that one

My car is registered as a Dinan certified car by the dealership that did the work and DINAN themselves - not BMW

I have no doubt BMW will expand it's custom tuner operation
It's an untapped market for them

DINAN stage 3 - 398 Hp

But it will cost you 11 grand to go from pure stock to stage 3
