What options are there for backup cameras?

I mean mostly with higher resolution. I don't want to get something that's going to look like a potato. If you have any recommendations, please post up. I am viewing this on an...Eonon...Android stereo. I know, it's crud but whatever. It supports up to 1024x600.

Thanks

My OEM backup camera module comes in tomorrow. I will let you know how it goes.

I can't believe the US model E9X 3 series didn't even offer back up camera as an option. Only that stupid sonar parking sensor....A 2011-2013 335 xdrive sedan/coupe could've easily been a $60k+ car when new, the fact that it doesn't have a back up camera really pisses me off. Like comon'

A freaking 2013 Hyundai Elantra has a backup camera.

Keep in mind the E90 was designed in the early 2000s.

I was able to fit another camera to this one https://www.amazon.com/LIEBMAYA-degr...rds=e90+camera. Using a heat gun you can get rid of the camera it comes with and then glue another camera (usually they have the same size). I had to dremel mine a bit but it worked fine

Ehhh....still not an excuse for 3 reasons.

1) Lexus and Acura was also putting back up cameras in their cars 2006-2007. Around the same time the E90 debuted.

2) What about LCI E90s? They surely had enough time to add backup cameras for LCI models.

3) Back up camera is actually available on Euro E9x models as an option. Those bastards at BMW North America chose to not bring it to the states.

Don't understand why it wasn't even offered as an extra cost option...like what? They don't like to make more money?

The E70 camera retrofit is dead. I am looking at aftermarket options.

In my opinion, a retrofit to OEM or aftermarket back-up cameras are more trouble than they are worth. These cars are small enough as it is and I've never really had any trouble with backing up. Considering I also work and drive around downtown San Diego, take that for what you will.
