Steering

Hi guys, i know this might be a weird one.
So a couple days ago i got my tires changed, from summer to winter tires, and as soon as i drive my car, i notice the steering is super soft, (turns smoothly and softly) and i know BMW's have harder steerings, which is better for control IMO. My car was the same before the tire change, i want the stiff steering back! Or is it just me and i feel the steering is lighter? thanks for your responses guys!

Were the summers run-flats and the winters are go-flats? Different sidewall ratios and widths as well?

I don't think neither are run flats, and no, the ratios and widths are the same.
Thanks! The steering just feels way way lighter than before and its noticable now. i dont feel the same when i drive it now, its turning too easily and smoothly

Could it be the molding lube reducing traction?

So you're saying that it did or didn't change when you put the winter tires on?

I think he means the car is the same it just feels different, softer and easier to steer after winters on.

They probably overinflated your tires or you had the old ones under inflated. Check the tire pressures my money is on them being overinflated.

You put winter tires on the car. The tread compound is different, thus a different steering response. The tire construction is also different. As previously stated, make sure the pressures are to spec. Some tire shops leave the pressure high (for initial bead setting) and don't drop the pressure before returning the car to the customer. Also, consult the owners manual, tire pressures for winter tires is usually different than for summer tires.
