Photographers! Gain experience, take some shots of a datacenter

Hi,
I'm looking for one photographer to come take some skilled shots of our datacenters.
I need someone skilled with lighting, and a lighting kit of their own to alter if needed. You'd have standard florescent lighting to work with + your lamps.
I'd also like some colored light shots like blue, orange, purple red, so if you have color filters thats a plus.

Please let me know if you're interested. It will help you diversify your portfolio and gain more experience with different subjects. We are willing to pay a fair amount as well to supplement your time and gas.

So, are you looking for a real commercial photographer? Are you willing to pay the market rate? Or are you looking to cash in on some cheap labor? You know, like hiring an "intern" with more experience than you have....

you're making this sound like its a full time job. im looking for 1 photoshoot, and yes im trying to get it done cheaply and im asking this car board, because ive seen the shots some of the guys do with cars and some are really hot.

The problem is that whatever it costs you, you still get the benefit of making the same money off the final product. It's using cheaper labor for a given product value.

As a pro and IATSE union member, it's just a pet peeve of mine. And it's driving down wages and competition.

well its a good thing its a free market and im not forced to use a union just because there is one. i wish i could force people to only buy from me, instead of cheaper competitors. if i can't do it, then a union cant force me to use them.

Guess what? It's not a free market and never has been.

I'm sure you've been watching the news lately(?)

Anyway, I have no issue with you not using union labor, all I ask is you pay fair wages. As I said , it's just a pet peeve of mine when people shop for the lowest wage they can get away with. And we don't always shop for the lowest priced product (why would we buy a BMW?) so it's the same with labor. Get a good product expect a higher price.

I can't work on feature films without being an IATSE member, that's just the way it is. But it does help keep wages correlating with skill, and the benefits are there so I won't end up at an emergency room costing the system.

Again, as I sincerely said: good luck with your endeavors. I hope you find somebody to fulfill your needs.
