Differences in appearance will be - Rims - mine 18" 162. Yours are either 17" or 16" depending on your options. 328xi won't sit as low as my 330i Sport. Black front grill slats (330/335 have chrome edges) Black window trim (330/335 is chrome). No chrome on tail pipes (this is a cheap accessory add-on for you) Black filler strips on the roof (330/35 is body color). Black line tail lights. They are now in the accessory brochure. Many online dealers sell these for under $200 U.S. Tell your sales associate to add them prior to delivery. A must with Barrique Red.

When I was at the dealership picking out my color, they had 2 different barrique reds..which suprised me. She told me that one was specifcally for the 335 and the other was for the other 3 series E90's. So I really liked the one for the 335 but didn't have that option apprently so I went with the barrique that I was offered. I can't believe you guys have never heard of this!.. Can you please tell me what black tail light trim is, and if it is cheaper w/dealer or can I buy it aftermarket. I wanted to add the sportspackage to mine but it was too late so instead of canceling my order I'm buying aftermarket wheels and rims for the summer but would like to purchase them now if possible.
Any good deals or any good websites that ship to Canada.? Its my first car, I'm 23 and female..I luv the tint so I definitly need that, as well as the 17inchs...Is the PDC any good? |

Imm_bimmer: We are pretty sure there is one Barrique Red (Paint Code A41). This color is available on the E90 sedan and the E91 touring. A41 is not offered on the E92 coupe.
Perhaps your CA was pointing out Crimson Red (non-metallic) available on MY07 E90/91/92?? The black lights are OEM accessory Blacklines taillights. Your best bet is ebay (lookup Morristown BMW for best prices, about $170-ish). I have PDC, its a worthwhile convenience option/feature at $350.

I'm going to go to the dealership tommorow, this is really bothering me, it's either shes really stupid or I misunderstood.. I swear to you that there was two different paints on that board called 'barrique red'. I will find out for sure, and bring my camera as well..
If I get the black tail lights can I install them or do I have to take it in to be installed..as well I'm leasing so can I still do that? I need 17" rims/tires but I dont want to pay more then 1500-2000 any suggestions? |

Imm_bimmer: Yes be sure...Barrique red has multiple tones, its a very dynamic color and can appear vastly different depending on angle and lighting. Check with the images shared on this thread/forum.
There are two red on offer for US/Canada...1 is the metallic option (Barrique Red) and the other is the non-metallic option (Crimson Red) replacing Electric/Japan Red. The Blacklines install is pretty easy. The DIY is shared on the DIY section of this forum. Most folks prefer to install themselves saving on not cheap labor charges. There are plenty of wheel choices. Be sure to browse through our forum for various wheel offerings.

It's a unique color - it really stands out. Think of it this way....it should be easy to find your car in a parking lot full of Black/Silver/Gray cars. Just curious, what color would you change to if you don't get Barrique Red?

I'm likin' it better every time I see it.
Too bad they don't offer this color for the coupe. I think it would look great with some aggressive rims.
Anybody have a BR with some CSLs on it?

I ordered Barrique Red without ever seeing it on a real car. All I had was a dealer provided paint sample. When I first it saw a Barrique car (before mine arrived) I swore the paint sample was off - the car looked much lighter than I expected. Actually the paint sample was 100% accurate. Barrique red will look very different in each type of lighting condition. In the sun it looks best. In dark overcast or rain it looks its worst. Under the fluorescent light in my garage it looks kind of mauve colored. At sunset it looks cinammon colored. It's a dynamic color and all of the pictures in this thread demonstrate that. I like the color now more than when I first saw it and I'm glad I bought it. I think it shows very well on the sedan and is a very attractive and unique color. BTW, I also remember asking where the name comes from. I was told that BARRIQUE is a type of wine barrel used to produce some of the finest RED wines in France - hence it's named after a type of wine. Here's a few more pics....

I love your interior, and I live in Canada so my car will probably look at its worst 1/2 the year owell, I wish I got that interior I wonder if they started production on the interior yet..I might change it! I swear the lady is gonna kill me. I really hope that there is only 1 barrique red color.. I like that color, I don't understand why only 3 ppl in Canada ordered it for the November production. Why would someone want the same old colors : black, silver, grey... BORING! Barrique seems very sporty/classy a color that will attract attention b/c its different
In life there are two types of people: the safe guys who buy black and silver and then there is the Risk takers who choose BARRIQUE hehe I want my car nowwwww |
