Cool Alternate Walnut Blast option?

Hey guys, I spoke to a gentlemen out in Colorado who said he performs the service identical to the video below on most of his customers cars as a courtesy.

However, I am not sure of this method and was wondering if anyone would chime in.

I do not see it as "more" effective or as effective as walnut. But possibly if you are to perform during maintenance intervals?

Is this safe to do?

Thanks!

The deposits that build up in the intake ports is very tough and needs to be mechanically removed (i.e. walnut blast). This appears to be a competitor to Sea Foam which is basically a light oil with a solvent in it. This will not have much effect on the buildup.

I have to agree with you. The carbon build is extremely aggressive. I wonder how this treatment may effect the car as a more "preventive" measure. I would be nervous about spraying a cleaner directly into the intake while the car is running...
