How do you 'disable icons' on the e92 nav?

On my e46 there was a "disable icons" button to get all those forks/knives and other icons that appear all over your GPS screen once done searching for a restaurant or other type of location stored in the navigation system. I just picked up a 335i and can't figure out how to get these annoying icons off the screen, does anybody know?

Sorry I dont have a pic, but go to the full map mode in "navigation". Then go to the far left vertical menu and select the lower case "i". There you will find a selection call "Hide map icons". I dont know if its different from my 07 to your 08 model year.

I think that's right, or a menu item somewhere.

Hit the options button, and then look under map settings.

BTW, there was a bug in the earlier version of the Nav that prevented you from turning off the shopping cart icon. If you are having that problem, you'll need to get the newest version from the dealer.

oops. Looks like you have a Pre-LCI Idrive. So, my instructions will not work.
