Glad to hear they are helping out! We really need more "how to" info. They mentioned vids were coming eventually to their website which would be nice.

Ok, I've been searching google and the forums for almost 3 hours with no avail. Again, i'm new, bare with me please:
Just got pro tools, did some basic stuff like video in motion and auto close windows/sunroof delay off, digital speed, the basic basics How do I code the auto folding mirrors to close on key fob lock? Can somebody walk me through it step by step and explain it like im 5? Also I have the HiFi sound system but I don't have a equalizer setting in my TONE menu, is there any way to activate that? I'm learning a ton by the day but every little bit helps! Thanks in advance! |

Just take your time and explore each module. Make a backup every time. I suggest you name your backups according to module and date time (military format/24hour) Example: frm-2019-04-17-19-52 (module-yyyy-mm-dd-hh-mm). Hopefully this will be a standard prefilled that user can edit before saving. |

Make sure you enabled the basic setup for folding mirrors as described on their site: https://www.bimmergeeksprotool.com/diy Last edited by gamesfrager; 04-18-2019 at 09:40 AM.. |

Today I was enabling some options on 2009 535xi and I couldn't find the FRM (Footwell Module!) Nor the junction box to enable full wiper cycle on ignition off.
Any ideas what's going on? I looked under all other categories but couldn't find it!! |

Noob here...
I wanted to code/register a new battery on my car. I connected the tool, navigated to Drivetrain->Engine->Functions->Batt Swap and selected the 90ah option (as that's what my new battery is). A small little popup came up saying it was successful, then quickly went away. Is that all I need to do? Am I missing anything else? Thanks! |

New to coding...
Can the Pro Tool be used to code out the Active Headrest Error in the absence of the active headrests in an LCI when swapping in Pre-LCI front seats? Last edited by BrandJas18; 05-23-2019 at 03:28 PM.. |

I've had protool for awhile and done some various coding and logs. Still trying to figure out how to get my depos to work as DRL's, but haven't had any luck.
I was told to connect with them on Facebook, but I don't have any social media accounts and really don't want to create any. One thing I did try was resetting adaptations, but it tells me that it can't be performed and to ensure that I have the ignition on. I've tried it with the ignition on, and with the car actually running....but still get the same message. Anyone else notice this? I also get this message when connecting. I've emailed this screenshot to them a few weeks back, but haven't heard anything. Didn't know if it could have something to do with it.

I started having similar issues on occasion, and the same message when using my Note 10.1 tablet. With my Note 9 phone, I have no issues at all.

I've tried coding the deposit as DRL in the basic coding section, but I can get access to the more advanced coding options. I've looked them over, but will need to do some research for translating what is what.

When I originally started using the program right after it launched, I would always get that same message. I emailed them my vin code and about a week later I stopped getting that message. If you haven't done it, it is worth a shot.

Update on FTM issue.
BG helped me determine something was def messed up and they then logged into my car with my laptop and the standard software for them to figure it out. He said something about about a bug in the Protool software and finally it seemed like it worked. I've the FTM is now on and seems to be working though I guess I don't know until a tire loses air. BG was helpful, but it did take a number of hours on my side to facilitate sorting it out and it does sting a bit that I'm paying full price (over $200 with the dongle) to help them troubleshoot the software. I know development can be challenging and customers also, but at the price I paid (that seems to keep going up) some consideration would be nice. Not sure if the bug is fixed in the software. He sorted it on my car through the standard software. |
