Climate Control System?

I have a 2008 335i with I-Drive. I would like to use the "auto" feature on the climate control but am not sure of something. If I am driving around and get hot or cold and want to adjust the set temperature do I always have to turn both knobs to keep th temp in the care the same. Or, if I just adjust the driver's side temp will that work? I there any way to link the two knobs?

Yes, you have to adjust both knobs if you want the same temp. In newer 3's, they put in an ALL button to eliminate the time consuming task of syncing two knobs and removed the REST feature.
