Glad to hear! Now don't let anything else get sucked up in there in the meantime! 🤣

Standing water can be an issue where I live. So one of the first things I do with any car I buy is remove the airbox and drill a few holes in the bottom. I suck in a small amount of warm air but it's a price worth paying.

Had my calipers powder coated w/ a high gloss clear coat on top of the powder coat.
The fist pic is a make shift press I made with an oil filter socket 67mm & a piston caliper compressor. I used it to reseal the piston boot. You have to press it on. If you look real closely. Yes, I have brass caliper pin sleeves. The pins are 304 SS too. They do make a difference in braking. They are made by ECS. You have to lube the sleeves once a year. I use silaramic CRC silicone based brake grease. It's good to 3000 degrees. Best stuff I've ever used. |

I'm very much considering that rn. My air box has a couple very small holes I saw when cleaning my KN. I was thinking about enlarging them or making more. Also these intake scoops are a scary proposition to put on now lol

I know this topic has been beaten to death but I finally reduced my psi from the recommended 38/42.
it was so harsh and uncomfortable that I was gonna replace my tires prematurely and getting new Bilstein B12 suspension. I'm running 34/38 and it's a revelation and feels like a whole different car with beautiful handling and comfort. I had no idea it could make such a difference.

I ran 40 all the way around for such a long time that when I went to the recommended 33/36 I was in awe. Of course a day later I get a screw in my tire. Lol

Yeah I saw those scoops and they seem a good idea until you consider how much water they could direct into the airbox.

I decided to try wrapping my steering wheel and my steering wheel trim. Both do not look great and I plan on redoing the job soon. I had some carbon vinyl wrap left-over from my PC and laptop project a few months back, and while it does look better in person. I'll be redoing the stiches on the top half of the wheel and will try out some matte black vinyl wrap I ordered for the steering wheel trim. This took about 3 1/2 hours to do which includes the waiting time after disconnecting the battery and the time it took to clean off the peeling rubber of the steering wheel trim.
I'm planning on trying out UK_Nomad's guide regarding the LED tail light issue in the pre LCI e93/e92 models. |
