e9x Brembo Big brake kit F+R F series
Hi guys,
Selling my brake setup as the as will also be selling the car shortly. Here is a link to my build thread: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...1319324&page=2 What's included: Front: - M4/M3 370/380mm calipers rebuild with new seals and nipples by Pro Calipers (In August last ayear) finished in metallic illusion copper powdercoat. - Zimmermann 370mm performance discs (3-5k use, no lip what so ever) - Hel braided lines - Pad Fitting kit - EBC Red Rtuff pads (80% remaining) Rear: - E81/E82 135i calipers rebuild with new seals and nipples by Pro Calipers (in August last year) finished in metallic illusion copper powdercoat - Pagid 324mm performance discs (3-5k use, no lip what so ever) - Hel braided lines - Pad Fitting kit - EBC Red Rtuff pads (80% remaining) Everything is still in in great condition, just need a clean. As it stands the whole setup owes me £1800 so I believe it's fair to ask £1300 for the lot.... Last edited by mr_vys; 04-08-2018 at 04:22 PM.. |

I haven't tried but if I had to guess, I'd say no.
340mm version would fit and so would the 6 piston m-performance e90 setup: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1439394 |

I would have had these off you but house purchase is killing my pocket money.
I would say the colour isn't maybe to everyones taste - maybe if you have a local trusted shop you could get them done in the more popular blue and might get them shifted quicker. |

I personally really dislike the blue, especially the M logos on them and the fact that the M logo is up-side-down on the left caliper... My calipers are powder coated and not just painted, i'd rather sell them to someone who would appreciate the work that went in to them ... |

I want to improve my car brakes and I am very interested in buying a big brake kit.
Your offer is very tempting, especially that I like the colour. Its like a glove to my taste. However, I don't understant why you selling it. You've done such effort to restore this calipers, you set them on your car and now you sell them without any explanation, which make me suspicios, especially you complete the brake kit with aftermaket parts (seals, niplles, pads) not OE. If no one tells you till now I will tell you. Untill you give a good reason (testing the water is not one of this) why you sell this big brake kit after you have setted on you car but you didn't tell us anything about how you improved braking or not, you'll have only cheap offers. And please show us recent picture, not old ones. |

I don’t quite like how you’re constructin your questions, so I’m not super keen on replying but I will anyway. I had these rebuilt by Pro Calipers with new and genuine Brembo components (seals, nipples, caps). I didn’t want oem pads because they are very dusty hence I went for the low dust ebc red stuff. Oem discs are around £500 and are made by textar when Zimmerman ones are around £200 (also a reputable oem supplier) so that’s why I went for them. I don’t think I have to justify why I went with hell performce braided lines kit... For every day use this setup is incredible, petal feel is great and the progression is very linger. It’s probably the best setup to have on a daily car. I'll get up to date pictures of them when I take them off. And now onto the reason for sale. I’m looking to do few track days this year so I purchased a 6-piston Alcon superkit with 384x34mm with floating discs and Ferodo ds2500 pads. The reason why I say testing the water is because I will only sell this setup if I can live with the Alcon kit on daily bases as it may prove too aggressive, too noisy, too high maintenance and excessively dusty... Hope this clears things up for you mate Last edited by mr_vys; 11-20-2017 at 02:57 PM.. |

This guy is a well trusted seller on here, if he wants to sell a 3month old kit then he is more than entitled to and for no other reason than he wants too; he sells quite a few sets of calipers and never had a reported problem. As for improved breaking, please do a google search, there are loads of threads on this subject and the majority are good, they are a decent upgrade to the normal oem calipers. I would have these in a heartbeat and I'm trying to scrape the money together before they get sold.... I want theses just as they are!!

Nice brembo kit, but the alcons are better for the track, ds2500s can overheat quickly after a 5-6laps.. Pagid RS29s or carbotech would be better for trackwork, but are more expensive
glws.

I was referring to the alcon pad choice..ds2500 are not a track pad and will overheat very quickly.
