What's the fattest rear tire anyone has fitted to a 162 wheel?
I've got this thing about really fat rear tires and would like to upgrade when the time comes to replace my Michelin PS2 RFTs. How fat can I go without any risk of rubbing (or dramatically affecting the handling)? I have stock non-sports suspension & 15mm spacers. I would likely not change the front tire size.
Thx

Paul, I thought I saw someone slapping on some 275s on the 162s, there are some pics somewhere. Of course tyre brand and design will have to be considered as well (some end up being a tad wider than some)

Thanks, guys Thos 275s are tempting, but the sidewalls do look a bit marsh-mallowy...

I think 235/40/18 or 245/35/18 on the front and 265/35/18 on the back would be a good choice if you want to upsize the tires a bit without the sidewall growing too thick.
ContiSport Contact3s are available in all these sizes through Tirerack. Thinking of doing this myself . . .

You can go with Falken tires in 275. They are slightly narrower than other tires.
