WTB: Alpina trans flash Gold Coast

Hey guys, not sure if this is the right section for this inquiry but im after someone to do a Alpina flash on my car 7/07''. Im located on the Gold Coast and dont really know anyone that does something like this up here. Any help appreciated.

Side note, does anyone know if the software has been updated so that the gears dont shift so early in D mode? Being in 6th gear at 50km/h doesnt really sound that practical for me.

No Heath. The D mode is pretty much eco mode in the real sense it purposely shifts up to high gears to save fuel.however in saying that. By moving the gear knob to the Left it will make the car go into S mode. Which would be considered as your sport-automatic mode and will shift at higher revs and maintain the car in a more responsive gear. Which is what your looking for when driving in a hurry or from day to day basis. D modes better when your low on fuel, or driving around with Gramps in the passenger seat.

I myself barely drive D mode only on start up drives jntill the engines warm n ready to pounce.

See this thread for flash alternatives. It's worthwhile reading the whole thread but there's a summary here.

For the best Alpina D mode you need to use 7603537 AND modify throttle and load tables with a BT cable, BBFlash and TunerPro.

I'm hopefully looking to visit my brothers who live there at some stage in the next few months but I'm very weary of doing this type of thing on someone else's car. I've never had a problem on my own (flashed TCU twice, fixed paddles, flashed DME around 25 times, all without issue) but there are risks and if something out of my control happened during the process and a DME or TCU ended up bricked, things would get really awkward really quickly!

I have found out there is a revised version of the Alpina flash that shifts gears a bit later in D mode so its actually more driveable so to speak. Driving around town in DS can get annoying sometimes as it holds gears to long at times, best suited for sprints through the mountains!!
Im still looking for someone who can do the flash for me around Gold Coast/Brisbane area!

There might be some people overseas who can do it for you remotely for a small fee if you have a laptop and can get the software up and running.

Ah shit were doomed! Haha... I have a workshop here on the gold Coast getting back to me tomorrow that apparently has a few other types of Trans Flashes that are good, but its not the Alpina Flash that i was hoping for.. Will keep you up to date with the details on it
