A few things to note.
Disconnect the battery and pull the gear stick out this way you can slide the cd/radiodeck out. splice your wires nad be very sure to follow my diagram, and install the module. Put everything back in the dash before you reconnect the battery!!! Then reconnect and test. |

Leave it in park and press the button on the stick and pull the stick out. It comes straight off. Be careful not to hit you roof when it come out. DO NOT START THE CAR. |

So I got the the TVinMotion from EAS. Don't get me wrong, the product is incredible. I love that you can do split screen with a nav map on one side and the movie on the other. Very cool...
...but I warn fellow do-it-yourselfers that the installation is not as easy as some of the other posts claim. I've never taken apart my dash before, so was understandable extremely careful and probably overly gentle along the way. The diagrams and especially the pics in this thread were really helpful, but my main complaint is that the wire connectors (the clear/red ones) they give you are crap. Be prepared to use your own... if any tension is applied to the wire, it slips out, and there's no way to tighten it. I took the console in and out about 5 times before I finally just got some other wire connectors. Once you finally get everything hooked up and get it to stay that way, the thing works well. Tom, is there a way to turn it off?? ...or is it already not visible to the factory diagnostics when its turned on? otherwise, there'd be no reason to ever turn it off. I don't want to get in trouble with the warranty people... I'll try to post some pics... |

Programming Mode:
To enter programming mode, first make sure the key is not in the ignition lock. Tap the UNLOCK button on the remote fob, then push and hold the blinker stalk UP (only into the first position, not all the way!) until the left arrow blinks once to indicate function 1.
Now let go of the stalk. From this point on you can navigate through the functions by pushing the stalk down and once the arrows are finished indicating the function and setting, change the setting by pushing it up. The new settings are active immediately. To end programming mode, either wait for 30 sec. or insert the key into the ignition lock. End of programming mode is indicated by both arrows lighting up simultaneously for 1 second. Examples: Function 1 (Module mode) is set to ON (setting 1): Left arrow blinks once to indicate function 1, then right arrow blinks once to indicate that this function is set to setting 1. In case the left arrow is finished blinking and the right arrow does not light up at all, the appropriate function is set to setting 0/OFF and hence disabled.

Otherwise, turning the module on or off only takes a few seconds.

which wires...who's wires
once you have the product in hand the confusion goes away because it comes with a wire harness and wiring parts (not pictured in the product picture). however, please use tom's description and wiring numbers/location. i hooked it up using medeiro's simple explanation and it would not program. so upon further review the 'can' bus wiring was backwards so i swapped it and viola---it works beautifully.

The mini USB port is for updates if bug fixes or additional features are added. These can be updated by the end user via laptop.

Just installed it last night! works perfect! the install was pretty easy too. I know the picture looks confusing but once you have all the wires in front of you its pretty easy to figure it out.
