335is flex disc

I am replacing my flex disc while doing my suspension. I ordered a rubber one but have the metal from the factory. I'm assuming the rubber is fine but figured I'd check. I've heard of the metal ones having issues.

Yeah, he's talking about the giubo. Haven't personally heard of a factory metal giubo but metal giubos are generally more resilient, the rubber ones crack and get brittle particularly in high mileage cars that have been in corrosive environments. That being said, rubber is perfectly adequate durability-wise and an easy replacement in say, another 120,000+ miles

I figured it should be fine. I also figured flex disc would be more recognizable than guibo, but I supposed I was wrong.

Not sure what the driveshaft giubo has to do with the suspension, but may as well do the center support bearing (CSB) while you have the driveshaft out.
