Cheapest place to get OEM Vanos solenoids?
Anyone knoww where I can find the cheapest place to get OEM Vanos solenoids? They seem to be around $150 each which is ridiculous imo. Anyone know any good places where they have them for sale?

I bought it on eBay for like $95 shipped a few months back. It was legit BMW authentic. Try searching on there. A random guy selling car parts was selling it. Works and still runs great on my car.

So for reference I bought these 2 first and they failed on me after 3 days
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Engine-Varia...72.m2749.l2649 The sellers name is automartint914. They were $17 each so around $40 for both. But they failed so now trying from another seller that a member bought from with no problems. Will report back. The new sellers name is auto*one. --> http://www.ebay.com/itm/Variable-Tim...72.m2749.l2649 These new ones are $30 each. Hopefully these come by this week. Also quick question how bad is it driving around with these faults and then getting into limp mode restarting the car and the codes go away? |

I would try cleaning them first though.

Almost bought oem solenoids from ebay (guys there is a us seller sellng them for $120 obo)...
Car has 120k mi and never replaced, gives intermittent 2a87 code. Decided to give these a try from autozone. Think its made by wells. Made in germany and has the bmw logo and part# on it)! Has a lifetime warranty, easy to return to any store,....not cheap tho, $105
