Key sense wire that goes live on key insert

As the title suggests, any of you guys know where I can tap into a canbus key sense? Such that it's live if a key is in and dead when I take the key out?

Trying to wire my nexus 7 up to come on without ignition so I can listen to the nexus through the radio at all times! Nexus is a fixed install so a permentant solution is fine.

My thoughts where finding a sense wire and triggering a relay that's connected to a permanent ant live or something along those lines? Any better way? Thanks guys

Canbus, would not be the wire you would want to tap. Unless its a wake up signal of some sorts..If you want power with the KL-30 (with the car running, off when you shut down the car) you would want to tap an empty fuse in the fusebox. But some fuses are always live so you'll need a voltage meter to find the proper spot

Specifically I don't want to have to turn the ignition on just stage 1 ie accessory I already have it wired up via ignition but I couldn't find anything obvious in the fuse box that was key switched. Is it coming on with the key possible? (like the radio does) I checked all the wires at the back of the radio too and their either perm live or ignition

Any idea?

I believe the position I'm looking for is referred to as KLR Rather than KL30 if that helps

A 12v that is hot when the key is in the car (just when you first press it in) and dead when the key is pulled out of the barrel or some sort of sense wire to say the key is in so I could switch a relay either would do! Thanks!

I used the exact same wire for my nexus 7 setup and it works perfect.

Key in slot: power on
Key out of slot: power off

Yes exactly thank you!! Although I can't quite tell from the post if that is driver side or pass? I'm RHD

Also did you tap this wire for power or tap it to trigger a relay?

So it's by the pedals then I assume? Just a standard 5pin relay yeah?

It's by your brake pedal switch and yes, 5 pin relay.
