Sure has all the markings of an M3 but it's such a shitty video it's hard to see anything of value, and a 2012 Mustang isn't a 2015.

I'm not going to argue this because it's stupid, but in a straight line it only makes sense that a 5.0 V8 is going to walk away from a 3.0 six. In the corners it's a different story.

As far as Americans being too stupid and narcissistic to know what the proper term for a BMW car is...lol.

Good chance the beamer would lose in the corners too. Those new mustangs are crazy.

Garage List
2009 335i  [10.00]
Mustang is 3,705lbs
335xi ~ 3,800lbs.

Mustang ~ w/ mods 435 hp +
335xi ~ w/ specified mods depending on JB4 Map and boost ~ 400 hp+

AWD vs RWD

My bet is close race. If I had to choose i'd say the 335 wins. If one of you has bad shifts other will win.

I was at a track watching one pretty sharp corner after a downhill and out of 200 cars the Mustangs were making by far the most noise. I'm not saying they didn't still have a lot of lateral grip. It was just surprising most cars were making no noise and the Mustangs sounded like they were coming close to spinning out and weren't going any faster then anyone else in their class.

Here is my two cents: I embedded two videos below of some races that I did with a 2012 5.0 in my 2009 335xi. If you race him from the dig and brake boost launch, you will win (assuming you aren’t going 125mph+.) If you race him on the roll, you will/might pull on him a little bit through 1st and 2nd gear; however, once you hit 3rd gear, that’s all she wrote. I don’t know if you have any oil cooler or not but my car doesn't have one… When I raced the 5.0 we did a total of 4 back-to-back runs 110+mph. After the fourth run, my car was not happy with me (oil temp sitting about 265- 270 and I could feel a subtle shaking of my motor/no limp mode present though.) Your best chances are going to be your first run before the heat soak and high oil temps set in. I would throw some e85 in the tank to help you at higher speeds... You will be running meth and JB4 so I am not sure how that will factor in/change the results but it should be an interesting race regardless.

Have you done intake valve cleaning recently?
Changed your spark plugs?
Gotten an oil change?

That's a minimum, then start talking about mods to match his power.

I guarantee that your opponent hasn't done this stuff, because his car is brand new. Sorry but you'll have a tough time even keeping up.

Lol you're kidding me with the implying that I haven't taken care of my car, right? Valve cleaning, this week, oil and spark plugs done 1000 mi ago.

As for an update on what's going on with this, I'm waiting to be paid from my deployment to order a FMIC. Also, buddy just installed kooks headers on his stang.. (I know because I helped with the install)

My buddy has a 5.0 on order, as soon as he gets it, breaks it in, its going down! He will start as stock, and I'll record how he progresses against my car over the time.

The mustangs MPH says it all.

With a good driver and tires, the mustang any day of the week. We are talking a sport luxury car vs a pure bread sports car.

Even if he does lose, the mustang is just a NO2 kit, or a basic cam and tune away from never being behind your average fbo n54.

I'm not kidding you. Your car is 7 years old, like mine, and my questions were completely valid.
