Damn, even cellphones lost attraction they once were to thieves as technology is overly complicated and no one will buy a locked and traceable used cellphone lol. Maybe they can sell it for parts lol for pennies, but that's hardly going to make up even for a metal pry bar from home depot lol. I genuinely am amazed this kind of stuff is still going on at some areas of country lol
All they can find in my e90 will be a 5 y.o. TomTom 3'' lcd screen GPS lol that goes for $3 dollar and 50 cents in local thrift shops. Well maybe burglars can also get some napkins from Subway left over in glove-box too
Times are really rough for some

My car got broken into a couple of years ago.
Local police found the guy a year later and returned my V1 radar detector.
Still use it till this day... to avoid the cops that helped me get my detector back.
Thanks Lawrence Kansas Police Department.

Can you mention the exact product or brands that sell these type of security feature?

same question here?

I've seen the VIPER kits but not sure how compatible they would be in a BMW. If they even are!

This. People leave wallets, purses, laptops, cellphones in their cars all the time. For car thieves, it's like finding money on the sidewalk.

I see people with dash cameras up and GPS units left up on their windows all the time.
Even with cars parked over night.

I mean thieves are thinking yeah if they are going to leave that up in the window then they will have other goodies in their as well.

Sorry about your misfortune. Friggin' thieves. We have had a rash of car break-ins in our town recently. Elderly widow across the street told me they took her garage door opener. I helped her lock the garage door and disengage it from the opener until she can get that replaced.

My car has the factory alarm. Figured that out when I went into the store real quick, left the top down, windows up, and locked it. Came back 5 min later and lowered a bag into the back seat as I approached the driver door. Before it even hit the seat the alarm started blaring. Scared the **** out of me. But now I know that it has an alarm and the motion sensors work! I'm glad given the break-ins that have been occurring.
