How to clean BMW oil pouch soaked in oil?

Hey how can I clean this. I know I am being pretty damn frugal instead of buying a new one but online since I'm in Canada it's 30$ with shipping or the dealer sells for 20$ + gas and time which the dealer is pretty far away. Would be nice if there is a way to just clean it back to original. My oil bottle has seemingly leaked inside of it.

I tried spraying with super clean degreaser then rinsing it was still dirty. I soaked it in a bucket of dish soap for an hour and water but it stills feels oily. Is it impossible to clean? It says it's made out of polyester. Any other ideas?

Run it through a wash cycle in the washing machine with detergent.

Could try some Dawn soap. They do use it to get oil off the fur of animals and such after oil spills, might work for your bag

I could dump it in another bucket of soap of Dwan this time for a day again.

I didn't want to screw up the machine because of how oily it was but now since it's less worse I might try.

I wash my shop rags in our clothes washing machine once a year. My wife used to give me shit about it until I showed her, with using detergent, the machine is left with no oil residue in the wash drum.

The only ones I toss are if they have heavy grease impregnated in them. I have so many now, they fill up two 5 gallon buckets when I wash all of them.

You know to keep oily rags in a closed, steel container, right? Oily rags can self ignite and cause a fire.

Only if you use a Sharpie pen to write "BMW" on it.

Yes that's definitely what I'm going to do after I get it cleaned.

I do the same thing, have done this for years, I have an Ikea recycle bin in the garage and all my car rags/towels go in when it is filled, I dump them into the washer with a good amount of Tide detergent and they come out clean. Once they turn black and washing them doing not get them clean they turn into the grease rags and thrown out.

I usually let shop towels soak for a few hours in the washing machine and then let it run. I have a medium size tool bag in the trunk with a set of emergency tools, battery charger, small air compressor, a quart of oil and a liter bottle of premixed coolant and I'm OCD about how it's positioned.

Interesting you refer to oil in quarts and coolant in liters

I am a literal kind of guy and here is the evidence. I was just too lazy to go out and pull the actual containers out of the trunk.
