So should I wait to rotate until the tread evens out and then start a normal rotation cycle?

You guys rotate somewhere between 5k and 10k?

that's what I've done. The rears wear faster than the front.

in nearly 5k miles they're almost identical now.

I usually rotate every oil change, about 5kish give or take 500 miles.

Got the new DWS 06's on the rear yesterday and put the older DWS 06's on the front. Minor change, but very noticeable difference in corners. The fronts were the old DWS, not 06's. The 06 improvement in sidewall strength is very good.
