Is it really that big of a deal? If he can afford a big down payment to ensure that his monthly's are low, then the "cash is king" theory still applies since he'll have more cash in hand every month.

Do people put down the idea of paying for a car fully in cash up front? I'm all in favor of the idea of avoiding debt whenever possible. If you can afford to put a big down payment or pay off the car up front, I support it.

So with peter you guys settled on $500 over invoice?

That sounds like a really good deal.

My guy must of been BS'ing me saying they usally ask for 10% for them to even order the car.

Then again you got the 325, assuming it wouldn't be as sweet for a 335 sedan.

Not to get OT, but I agree. It's not as simple as "oh I can earn x.1% here and my loan is x.0% so I shouldn't put anything down". There's a lot you can do with the $ from lower monthy pmts.

With the E90 I think pretty much you can work with the same pricing guidelines. I know other folks went with Peter for their 330i's and reported the same policy. With the E92, I'm not sure. Just ring him up and see what he says.

Don't forget to mention E90post sent you...

Totally a good move imho.

Can you imagine there are people leasing a Camry or Accord (after 3 yrs. of payments they are left with nothing to show for them), for what you'll be paying each month, and eventually you'll own a 335?

1. $500.
2. About 3 1/2 months. Doing ED, requested a date in early May, so it should be back in the states sometime in June.
3. $0. Doing 36 month lease. total drive-offs will be around $1,200.
