Well now I'm at week 23. Two days ago I was week 20. Seems it is pretty volatile.

Got my production number 05/07/09. They say its June production and August Delivery.

E90 335I, Premium, Sport, Comfort, AW with Terra/Aluminum

Production Number #: 3666***

I wouldn't worry about 2008.. from what it sounds. .maybe a new color or two.. and a price hike.

some problems with oil pumps i think, were addressed as of 2007.5

You would have a higher resale - but then again, you would pay more to begin with. I think if you got a good deal, and youre happy with what youre getting, just stick it out.

I got hit with the same thing - got a new production number. I was in June, and I am still in June.

I was told from my dealer I would be June production with late July delivery, I have Prod # but I'm still at "Sched for Production", still early since I just ordered.

You won't receive your scheduled production date until 3-5 days before the car goes into production

So.. this is the first big gap.. Then it gets exciting when the car is scheduled for production, then goes into production, and then it ships over, wee... Then gap #2, when it's headed from VPC to the dealer, but at least that's always guaranteed to take a week or less

I got a 92 corolla beater... it will be nice to get into a 335i once it comes. it will make it that much sweeter once I make the switch

just curious, when you received your new production#, did it count as a completely new order and you had to essentially go back to the back of the line? how did that work?

i'm still waiting to hear back from my CA who's in the process of sorting the mess out and trying to get me a new production # and with no definitive production time. my old dummy production # was scheduled for june production.

no, some people actually got bumped up. I seem to be in the same position as I was before. Some people got bumped back a week or so.

Hopefully you will move up or atleast be in the same situation you were. Just keep on your CA until you get one.

My dealer has all of his allocation slots filled, so he has to hunt around for other dealerships for a June allocation otherwise I may be stuck with a July.

That silly glitch messed my hopes up for a late June/early July delivery.

I hope he can find something sooner.

IDK, I was thinking of asking him for a discount. How much do you think I should knock off, or should I ask for an extra option, like the Ipod thingy?

I think you dont have much leverage becuase he knows you will probably not walk away from him since no one else can deliver it sooner - but it will not hurt to ask IMO.

Always ask for more than what you think he will give you - I dunno - maybe like $1000 off AND the Ipod usb adapter. You may get lucky and he will give you $500 off and the Ipod adapter. (be careful changing your order now, if you dont have a production number yet - call him quick and ask about adding the option, becuase it could delay you again if you change the order)

Once you get your production number, say you are dissatisfied with the extra wait and that you have to rent a car for another month now or whatever, and ask for that discount.

Thats just what I would do.. I would atleast ask..

Shouldn't matter... I believe you can change anything up to 3 days before production. But if you are looking for the discount it might be better to do it now rather than later.

Thats cool then , I thought I came across a memeber who changed something and got delayed before he went into production.. guess not.
