Schwaben BMW/Mini Scanner ATF Temperature

Hi,

I have a Schwaben BMW/Mini scan tool from ECS. Anyone know if this can measure ATF temperature. I can't seem to find it in the GUI and the instructions are not helpful.

The last time I did the automatic transmission fluid I just used a infrared temp gun, and that worked, but it would nice if I could get an accurate temp from the car on this thing.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

It’s the same as a Foxwell NT510, so the functions/instructions are the same. Are you saying you can’t find the live data or that the live data doesn’t have transmission temperature?

IF Schwaben 14020SCH is same as Foxwell NT510, as I read Foxwell manual, he has to FIRST select Transmission Module from Drivetrain group, and THEN select Live Data, which follows Read Codes & Clear Codes. Each Module has its own separate "Parameters" or "Live Data". He doesn't say what vehicle, but if it's an E91, 328i/xi, with N52K engine, that has GS1912 GM6 Tranny, and INPA shows both Transmission Oil Temp and "Substrate Temp", two different sensors.

Thanks! I will give that a try and follow up. It's an 2006 325XI.

I have a Schwaben and have crude notes on my phone from when I looked for the transmission temp a few months back. They may be a bit cryptic but should represent what to select on successive screens:

Main Menu
BMW
1. BMW
Automatic Selection
[Ok to vehicle info status]]
Control Units
Drive
EGS 6HPTU transmission control
Live Data
Performance variables, gearbox
Oil temperature, gearbox

I can check which specific model I have as well as clarify the notes (if the above is useless).
