My SA has told me that he will call me as soon as the V31 comes in....and that I can come in and get it done with no hassles....
IF it really is the fix that we have been waiting for, then I am really looking forward to it.....

Glad to see the wheels are still motion regarding the class action. My gut tells me V.31 is not going to solve our problem here in the US but I hope I am wrong. |

I think that even if it does solve it the class action will go on anyway. A lot of people were making payments on a car that was less than what they originally signed up for. Other people, like myself, took different approaches and paid someone else to fix the problem.(Dinan or another type of flash for the ecu) Those people are out the money they paid plus the warranty issues.
I will definitely ask when I meet with them. If anyone has a question, or something that they think I should bring up to the lawyers post it and then we can make up a list of the key questions and points which I will bring to the meeting.

My BMW shop's foreman finally got the info: v31 does not address the problem: "There has been no change with regard to turbo response with CIP 31.0. If and when this will happen is still under analysis." This is getting way out of hand. I'd say sue them. I doubt BMW will change anything if not forced to. My car is in the shop (as I said, I'm still in Turkey) because the steering wheel gets locked up sometimes. Boy, am I glad that I specifically ordered them not to program it again before I left... woe to them if they do! |

This is getting ridiculous! There has to be someone out there besides me to have V31?? ...or is it exclusively for the proud country of Sweden???
I can't believe that V31 can have different effect on different 335s. Either It fixes the lag or it doesnt. |

Give me a couple more days Pavel and I will let you know. I am trying not to read this forum until I get updated so I can make my own assumptions but I decided to take a peak today. Hopefully the SM's are telling people that the issue does not address lag as they just do not want to admit that there was ever an issue. Do you guys honestly think that BMW is going to tell everyone "yeah, we f'ed up your cars." Come on guys....with all the talk about class action suits they would basically be throwing themselves to the wolves. Trust me, they will not admit they f'ed up our cars so please comment once you get the update.

I'll get V31 but it's be about 2 or 3 weeks away as I'm off to the SF tomorrow and I'm waiting for my car to do over 1,000 miles before I WOT it. Then I'll get it updated so I can compare before and after.

CRAP!
I was able to talk my dealership into updating my car updated from 29.2 today...I just picked up the car and read my paperwork and it says v31!!! the exhaust note is still loud as shit...(even louder than before). I told the SA I wanted updated to the newest version (32?)...I guess maybe they didnt have it yet? I feel like a retard! Ezat, did I screw up by not confirming that they had the latest progman version? I'm sure they will not want to update me again...crap! |

The simple fact is that I got the V31 as most of you have seen on my workorder.
1) lag is GONE. 2) exhaust note is quieter and smoother 3) fuel consumption has dropped I cannot for any reason understand why U.S vehicles would not get the same result, hell, Its eaven more important for BMW to address U.S customers problems as you are together with Germany the biggest market for BMW. I will have to run a dyno to get this on paper! ...or mabye ezatnova was right... mabye my dealer just flashed me with a Dinan s/w.. |

I just drove the car about 15 miles at operating temp. Car is still laggy as hell. No improvement as far as I can tell. Why does my paperwork not show the progman version part number? |

I just called my dealer again and they confirmed again after checking with shop foreman and said. They only have the v30 version at there dealer. And thats a 100% confirm. JMK in NJ doesnt have v31. Somethings wierd..

example: v29.2 and v30 have the same laggy engine software. The engine software numbers are the E89-xxx-xxx numbers that someone posted earlier. With the last 3 numbers being important, its like 515, 530, 540 - something like that.

A regional tech is going to look at my car on Monday. Still not holding my breath.
In other news - I drove home a Ford Taurus rental/loaner from the dealer. I tricked my 10 year old into thinking I had sold the BMW and bought the (very) used Ford because of the problems I've had so far.
