Random CEL or something wrong?
Hey guys, I have a 6MT 2013 e92 335i that is FBO with JB4 G5 ISO.
I live in South Florida and the weather has jumped from 75 degrees to as low as 45 degrees within the last 3 weeks, which is "cold" for Florida. Don't forget we live near the water and that that temperature is almost always featuring high humidity. For about 4 days straight, my car has thrown a CEL while cruising on 95 to and from my parents house, which is only located approximately 13 miles from my house... the first 2 times I had a little bit of e85 in the tank, yet the last 2 CEL's I was on straight 93 pump. I thought that e85 was the culprit, but have now began to doubt this. The first day the codes shown via JB4 were: 2FE2 No description found 2C90 Blow-off valve mechanics- ignore, tuner code 2774 Mass airflow too high- ignore, tuner code 2BC0 Mixture at partial load too lean- e85 code 3106 Catless downpipe installed Cleared. Second day: 2FE2 No description found 2C90 Blow-off valve mechanics- ignore, tuner code 3106 Catless downpipe installed Cleared. Third day: 2FE2 No description found 2C90 Blow-off valve mechanics- ignore, tuner code 3106 Catless downpipe installed 2774 Mass airflow too high- ignore, tuner code Cleared. Fourth day: 2FE2 No description found 2C90 Blow-off valve mechanics- ignore, tuner code 3106 Catless downpipe installed Cleared. The CEL has only been thrown when cruising on 95... otherwise the car runs, sounds, and feels great. The only time something feels awkward on my car otherwise is when I have 4-5 gallons of e85 on map 5 and I punch it under 3k rpms... the car will occasionally stutter and make a weird noise... It seems as if though my fuel pump could be maxed? Please, let me know what is going on. |

If you had auto-clear enabled on your JB4, it is now disabled because of the new firmware. It's part of BMS new regulations for the USA. It's probably caused by your down pipe.
